In a stunning revelation, local man Steve Thompson realized that he's been gay all along after binge-watching the popular reality TV show "RuPaul's Drag Race" on Netflix.

"I always thought I was straight," Thompson told reporters. "But after watching the fierce queens on 'Drag Race' serving up glamour and attitude, I realized that I've been denying my true self all these years."

Thompson, a 37-year-old accountant, says that he's now exploring his newfound sexuality and embracing his love of all things fabulous. "I bought a rainbow flag and hung it up in my apartment, and I've been listening to nothing but Lady Gaga for the past week," he said. "I feel like I'm finally living my best life."

Thompson's friends and family were surprised by his revelation, but supportive. "I always knew Steve was a little bit 'extra,'" said his sister, Sarah. "But I never thought he was gay. I'm happy for him, though. He seems happier and more confident now."

Thompson says that he's excited to explore the LGBTQ+ community and make new friends. "I can't wait to go to my first Pride parade," he said. "I feel like I've been missing out on so much, but now I have a whole new world to discover."

In response to Thompson's story, RuPaul took to Twitter to offer her congratulations. "Welcome to the family, honey," she wrote. "We've been waiting for you."
